To become a Canadian Certified Rental Building, the property must meet 50 standards of practice, from building operations and environmental practices to resident and human resources management and beyond.
Managers of prospective Canadian Certified Rental Buildings must successfully complete CCRB training and education courses, which improve the knowledge and professionalism of staff.
All buildings entered into the program must demonstrate compliance with the standards of practice. A respected third-party auditor completes building audits on behalf of the program, which are valid for three years.
