Victoria’s rental market is in a state of transition, with rising costs, changing regulations, and shifting demand creating challenges for housing providers. This event brings together industry experts to explore the current landscape and provide landlords with the insights needed to navigate uncertainty, manage risk, and seize opportunities.
Thank you for joining us for engaging discussions, expert insights, and actionable strategies from some of the most respected professionals in the rental housing industry.
This fireside chat with Dave Craig, Managing Partner & President of Devon Properties and LandlordBC CEO David Hutniak will take a deep dive into the state of the rental market in Victoria.
These are challenging times for rental housing providers due to high operating expenses with taxes, insurance, and utility costs having an oversized impact. These challenges are likely to be further exacerbated due to political uncertainty domestically and geopolitical threats. Even the most casual observer will have noticed higher levels of vacancy and softening rents as the impacts of federal action on immigration and international students begin to unfold. Add to this an influx of new rental units and a strong pipeline for more on the immediate horizon and the dynamics of the rental universe will require steely nerves and strong management skills to weather the storm.
