In today’s high-vacancy rental market, strong communication is a key driver of tenant retention. In this session, Karen Sawatzky, Owner of Delegate Me Services, explores how landlords and property managers can move beyond reactive, compliance-based communication toward a more proactive approach that anticipates tenant needs and builds stronger relationships. Drawing on practical experience, Karen highlights simple tools, such as tenant handbooks, email newsletters, and short instructional videos, that can reduce repetitive inquiries, improve tenant satisfaction, and ultimately strengthen retention. Clear, consistent communication not only saves time but signals professionalism and trust, giving housing providers a meaningful competitive edge in a renters’ market.
